Barcelona: Day 1

Donnerstag, 11 April

3am. Rise and shine! Time to catch that night bus to catch that train to catch that airplane. Used all the methods of transportation this morning, until I finally rested on this lovely airport couch:

Phew! 6am.

Austrian airlines not only provided a free newspaper, a delicious chocolate muffin, coffee, and orange juice, they also played Strauss in the background and played old silent cartoons including Tom and Jerry. Best of all the flights.

They had bigass lollipops at my layover in Paris.
Oh, and I saw the Effil Tower. From the airport shuttle. Reaaaaaally small in the distance. But I saw it.

France air was pretty good too. Gotta love free coffee.
Upon arriving in Barcelona, I met pigeon square. A.k.a. Placa Catalunya:

Coo coo!

Neo-Gothic.

Found the Picasso museum:

Picasso's friend and sponsor of the museum.

Pi Cathedral

La Boqueria!

Naschmarkt, you have been outdone.

Then, I finally found Quatre Gats, Picasso's favorite cafe where he first exhibited his works. And I ate the classiest and most favorite dinner I've had in Europe thus far:

That table on the right is where Picasso used to sit.

There was live piano music too.

Most delicious ratatouille.
