Italy Trip, Rome: Day 4

Mittwoch, 27 März

Today, I saw Pope Francesco speak in St. Peter's Square. Quite a life defining experience:

Couldn't have asked for better weather.

There was lots of flag pride, with pilgrims from all over the world.

And there he is!
Then, off to lunch! Same classy place as last night. That's pistachio-apple stuffed chicken:

Best truffle-brownie I've ever had on the right. There was this gypsy following us for quite some time, so we gave her one of these delicious truffles, and she seemed much happier, and smiled and waved when she saw us later.
Next, Spanish Steps, and farewell to my hostel-buddies. Commence last leg of personal art adventure:

I seeee yoooou.

These flowers made me so happy after a long winter in Vienna.
Made it to the infamous Galleria Borghese, where they require a reservation, and even then sometimes you don't get in... but they've got the best Bernini collection in the world:

Bernini's famous Rape of Persephone.

Finally, night train to Vienna. Was not as bad as everyone made out to be; I sat in the same cabin as a nun and a boy with olive branches, the most harmless of people.
