Germany Tour, Day 5: Berlin, Day 2

Mittwoch, 6 Februar

Started out visiting the Checkpoint Charlie Haus, where the history of East Berlin escapees is kept. No pictures allowed. But, I found an awesome compass collection in the gift shop:
Good morning, Berlin!

Loving this architecture.

Compasses and globes, how neat!
Speaking of which, I walked by several interesting shops and shop windows today:
The aroma of flowers and plants immediately wafted my way....

So many fancy watches!

A crystal shop! With chandeliers. Gotta have those.

For lunch, I tried the famous Berlin Curry-wurst. It was spicily delicious!!
Fried potatoes, and curry-wurst, topped with a combo of ketchup and curry.

Later, I visited the Jewish museum, which celebrates the history of Judaism. It was highly interactive, informative, and fun! Its two architectural styles were interesting as well, as seen below...

Yes, this is the same building!
My favorite exhibit. We walked on the metal faces, creating eerie labor-camp sounds.

Learned some basic Hebrew!

Felt like a kid matching shapes.

Out to the garden.

Then, I went out for Mexican with friends, next to the Humana shopping center. For dessert, I tried some gourmet chocolate I had bought earlier at Rittler, a Berlin specialty chocolate store. Mmm, mmm!
