Today I visited the
Kunstforum, a small, contemporary art museum with just one floor of exhibits. They featured living artist Miquel Barcelo's works, who's a painter exploring texture and the continum of art and death. I thought his works were quite fascinating, with an interesting combination of abstract paint-texture and concrete food or animal imagery. See for yourself:
| Liking those triangle windows. |
| My favorite. It was like an aerial view of a mountain range made of paint |
| Detail. |
| Called "Soup." Some crazy critters in that soup. |
| "Painter's Creature." |
On the way, I saw some neat buildings and sights:
| Two streets from where I live. |
| See those beautiful balconies? One of my dream apartments. |
| In front of the Hofburg palace. |
| On Mariahilfestrasse. |
| The square next to the museum. |
On another note, I made my first stew. Wohoo!
